I thought I would come to you guys for some advice with my busted windows 7 latptop. It's an old Dell, piece of shit, and the keyboard is broken. I have a lot of stuff on that HDD that I'd like to save. My question is what is the best way to get the data off this thing?
My first thought was to buy an external HDD enclosure, pop that HDD in and use it as a backup drive. My concern is it has a running windows 7 OS installed. Will that create a conflict with making it an external HDD? I'm trying to avoid wiping the drive.
What other solutions are available for transferring the data I want off?
