NPD Group have released the monthly sales data for games the United States, this time for May 2014. As a whole, sales for the gaming industry have increased, with May 2014 launches selling 800 percent more than May 2013 launches, "in dollar sales". In terms of total video games software sales, May 2014 totalled $247 million, while May 2013 totalled $175 million.
