Hey guys, this is a very simple tutorial on how to prevent your ps3 freezing when opening up the menu. This has been working for me for the past 5 or so times I've loaded GTA up.
1) Load up GTA offline, then while it is loading into single player sign in.
2) Once in single player, patch menu freeze with Tustin's freeze fix tool.
3) Go on your phone and load up the menu.
4) Don't use the menu offline, immediately go to multiplayer after you get the words VCA1.2 up DON'T OPEN THE MENU OPEN YOUR PHONE.
5) If you did it correctly you should see VCA1.2 at the top of your screen even while loading multiplayer.
6) Press L1 and R1 at the same time and enjoy your menu :)
Using this method I haven't froze once, and before I was freezing a ton. Hopefully this helps anyone who was having the same problem as me :p
