The NextGenUpdate reporters are important staff members that focus on writing independent articles that feature on the front page. The writers have freedom to write news reports, feature articles and reviews on anything that pertains to the gaming industry and the interests of the NextGenUpdate community.

If you'd like to be a part of this creative team and think you have the necessary ability, this thread is to remind you that applications are open.

How to Apply

To apply for the news team as a reporter, simply follow the News Team Application form.

Tips

• Posting comments on articles demonstrates your interest in gaming news and our homepage.
• You can only apply once.
• Don’t rush your application; it’s your chance to demonstrate your skills so spend some time proofreading and editing.
• The application form requires you to write an article. If your application article is a piece of gaming news, take some time to research the topic before commencing writing. Select something that is recent and is likely to attract interest.
• Don’t plagiarise your application.
• Joke applications will be trashed.
• Joining the news team requires you to dedicate time to researching and writing articles. Do not apply if you simply want the staff position.

All members have an equal chance of joining the team. If you have been unsuccessful in applying in the past, you may try again. The applications will be open until further notice.
